I'm a designer focused on visual identity and concept driven work, guided by curiosity to find something unexpected. I'm drawn to visual language that's expressive and pushes toward the unfamiliar, whether that shapes the entire concept or shows up in the details.
My experience includes both studio and freelance work on cultural and commercial projects, where I developed strategy led identities from concept to execution. I thrive in settings where there's space to explore and discover solutions rather than execute predetermined ones. My work has been recognized by European Design Awards, Art Directors Club of Europe and featured in AIGA Eye on Design magazine, Graphics on the Move: Dynamic Branding, Type01 and BrandNew. Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
How to Become Space Freelance
Photography: Lukas Mykolaitis
Kaip tapti erdve (eng. how to become space) is Severina Venckutė’s first solo exhibition, emerging from the artist’s ongoing research into embodied body, developed during her photography MA studies.
The inspiration comes from stitching artifacts, the fragments left when a camera tries to construct a seamless panoramic image, a principle the artist herself works with. A fragment of her original photography appears directly in the visuals, both as background or within the typography itself, grounding the design in the work. Same fragmentation shapes the letters too, as they merge, fracture and blend into the space around them. The motif stays recognisable without becoming too literal, working just as well alongside the artworks as on its own.
